Returned
– at last –
that sweet-voiced
family.
Descendants.,
all.
Clad in morning
coats and caps,
feathered gray.
Now,
I will put away
– at last –
winter’s bleak
attire,
remove my heart
from safeguarded
place,
return it
– at last –
to its nestspace
betwixt my ribs.
At last.

Such a beautiful piece. Really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of this piece and the sigh of relief.
Thank you ❤️ We have been “patrons” to a family of Gray Catbirds for the past dozen years or more, and I so look forward to their return each spring! To have such connection to Nature — to be recognized by such lovely creatures — is a precious gift 🙂
You are most welcome ❤️ and that’s wonderful. Such connection is a blessing for sure
Lovely image here!
Thank you, kindly… We all need a little “magic” in our day-to-day lives 😉 Thank you for visiting 🙂
This is lovely, Carrie. It left me feeling a beautiful sense of things as they should be–at last.
Thank you, as always, Caprice. You are an inspiration! <3
