the snow fell hard
and fast.

our breath
as venerable branches

I know it was quite stormy in New York recently. You happened to be there?
I am in northern New Jersey — yes, we had quite a storm…we received 22 inches of snow in a short period. Simultaneously beautiful and frightening!
