    • Thank you, Colleen 🙂 I suspect, I may be truly pagan at heart… The Solstice really calls to me <3

  2. Carrie, All the best to you and yours this holiday season. Here is a quatrain that I think you will enjoy by Ursula la Guin. She’s inspired me to write quatrains. It’s a hoot!
    SOLSTICE
On the longest night of all the year
in the forests up the hill,
the little owl spoke soft and clear
to bid the night be longer still.

    • You are so right — Ursula LeGuin’s quatrain is lovely! Just a few nights ago, I thought I heard the little Eastern Screech Owl out our back door and a few houses away… Thank you for sharing this, and I wish you and yours a New Year full of peace and happiness.

      • Thank you.

I’m thinking about a Tom Peter’s quote. “Celebrate what you want more of.”

        • I like that…it strikes just the right chord when beginning a “new” year 🙂
