From a visual artist’s point of view , it reminds me of Al Hirschfeld, the American caricaturist best known for his black and white portraits of celebrities and Broadway stars on the cover of the NY Times. He could express a celebrity in just a few ink strokes. You have that gift with words!
Thank you so much, Colleen 🙂 Sometimes, it’s like the words are stirring in the air around my head…and I just need to pluck them from where they float and arrange them on the page. The poems are almost always due to direct, recent experience — the desire to translate the visual, or emotion, to the verbal. I’ll keep scratching away, and you keep painting! 🙂
